Crazy for Gatsby

I’ve always felt I was born in the wrong era, and now I have confirmation, I am truly at heart a 1920’s doll. The style is perfection, from the diamond pin delicately placed in their pin curls to the beads on the fringe’s on their dresses … oh I’m in awe.

What must it have been like?? My imagination runs wild picturing life as a 1920’s doll.. There I am holding a coupe of champagne (the style of champagne glass of that era) taking a quick sip before I take to the dance floor with daddy (slang for well off boyfriend which makes sense where sugar daddy came from) life is a whirl wind and this doll has a sparkle in her eye with such a hunger and a passion for life.

The 20’s ladies were the height of glamour but they pushed boundaries smoking, drinking and on an occasion they wore trousers shocking stuff… Well I just wanted to share some of the styles of jewellery, clothing and all things Art Deco. I want you to have a better understanding as to why this was the most fabulous era we’ve ever had and I do realise that yes that was a huge statement to make …

With the release of the Great Gatsby means the stores have one Art Deco and Flappers mad. All the jewellery worn by Carey was all designed by Tiffanys.

Ladies you can pick up this style in most stores and for men it’s a little harder but Hackett’s of London is a must shop for this style.

It’s good to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same
out of date rehashed information. Fantastic read! I’ve saved your site and I’m including your RSS feeds to my Google account.
