One lady that turned heads at Cannes this year and for all the right reasons was Cheryl Cole. She wowed the hoards of photographers and on lookers in this elegant Zuhair Murad lace gown. Cheryl always turns out for an occasion flawless, making sure every detail is done to perfection and this was certainly no exception. Keeping her make-up warm and understated complemented the colour of her gown. Cheryl’s hair was simply swept back off her face into a modern take of the plait which works so well with the low cut on the back of the dress. Something that I loved about this look is she kept her choice of jewellery so simple and the reason I feel this was the right choice is because there is a lot visually going on with the pattern of the lace that over the top and over sized jewellery would just make this look chaotic, with simple diamond earrings and matching ring I couldn’t have styled the accessories better myself.
Come to think of it Cheryl has stepped out of her comfort zone when it comes to Cannes as this year she wore a burgundy gown, Cheryl has worn white the past 3 years. Saying that it is evident Cheryl has upped her game every year never the less she was impeccable every time.
2012 is where we see the introduction of a splash of colour which was slightly controversial as critics didn’t like the red with the red carpet because they “didn’t know where the dress ended and the carpet begun”, personally I thought it was a ridiculous comment I loved the red on this gown I felt it made it.
