Two shows worth talking about at Paris Fashion week are Alexander McQueen and Chanel. Firstly at first glance you would probably think oh no that’s not for me but on further inspection I loved both shows and will look forward to Spring Summer ’15 wearing these trends.
I will start off talking about the Chanel show and when I say show I really mean show Karl Lagerfeld truly knows how to put together a show to truly represent his collection and if you thought like me the supermarket was genius wait till you see his 1970’s feminism movement story. The collection sees traditional Chanel lines, shapes and materials mixed with a more modern twist. I’m a huge fan of the classic Chanel tailoring so I really am living this collection. If you feel you should have been born in the 70’s this trend is so up your street with a multitude of bold colours I have a feeling next summer is going to be one of the most colourful ones we hVe seen in a long time.
The McQueen had a definite theme in their collection. My interpretation of the collection is a Futuristic Geisha. With the surroundings so fitting.
Even though it is a hard androgynous collection when you take a proper look at the collection minus the face masks and greased back hair it is very much a beautiful collection with some über feminine pieces. I do love the shoes and the harnesses they scream McQueen.
These are two influential collections the question is are you a feminist or a geisha 😉
