Dior AW Campaign!

She has helped make the brand relevant again in this ΓΌber cool era since she became a brand ambassador for over 5 years now.
Since she accepted her Oscar wearing Dior but first falling in Dior she injected life back into the fashion house and so to is the new Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri.
With her strong bold message that she has portrayed in this collection there really was only one lady to front this campaign and that was the ultimate modern girl who refuses to conform to Hollywoods ideology of a woman and that of course is the stunning Jennifer Lawrence.
Here are relaxed images from the new campaign.

All of a sudden as if out of nowhere Dior is relevant once again.

The Oscars 2017

What an interesting night, from Emma Stone winning Best Actress to the LaLa Land being called out for best picture maybe the fashion was reflecting the night.
When we saw this years stars take to the Red Carpet for the globes the lack of imagination or gold lace was every where, now fast forward to the Oscars and we saw a lot more originality.

I will start by adding Jessica Biel, I adored her in this Kaufman Franco gown but it’s the Tiffany & co necklace that really made the look come together .

And of course we must give a nod to the winner of the Best actress Emma Stone in this 1920’s flapper style gown.

And keeping on that theme Olivia Cupla killed it in this Marchesa gown.

The girl who stole the night for me both at the Oscars and at the Vanity Fair party was Emma Roberts and as for that firey red hair she looked every inch the Hollywood Star and to that is what the Oscars are about.

When it comes to award season there is always one lady who stands out and nails it every time and I really thought it was going to be Michelle Williams but I wasn’t overly wowed by here although her and Bizzy Philips were the most adorable pair over this award season.

Now back to my point of the overall Award season best dressed has to go to Taraji P Henson!! I thought she oozed glamour and was spot on every time and her Oscar look in this navy velvet Alberta Ferretti gown … just wow!

Some of the gowns were on the sexy side for the Oscars .. Jennifer I’m looking at you ☺️

And speaking of unusual Oscar looks, I loved this Calvin Klein gown Naomi Harris wore and those shoes 😍. She then slipped into a Grecian style gown for the Vanity fair party.

And of course the Vanity Fair party was where the real fashion came alive such stars as Kate Hudson really earned their fashion stripes last night.

There was one lady that I was really impressed with and that was Lily Collins, I really feel that sometimes she’s made look older than she is by some of the choices she has gone with in the past but this look is fun, sexy and very polished and big thumbs up for me.

Until next year folks πŸ₯‚

Sag Awards 2017

Dior was certainly a favourite with the celebs last night at the Sag awards as 3 of my top 9 (I know an odd number) were wearing Dior.
Let’s kick off with Kirsten Dunst who would never normally wow me on the red carpet but she looked so angelic and graceful in this sheer white Dior gown.

From one blonde to the next, Kate Hudson looked ravishing in this black Dior with her hair swept back Kate for me always understands what it takes to walk a red carpet I am rarely disappointed and this time she knocks it outside of the park by finishing her look with the dark lip.

My last Dior pick of the night goes to Natalie Portman. Maternity wear is so tricky and can end up being a complete disaster but I feel Dior got it right with this very regal gown. Natalie recently played the part of the quintessential lady Jackie O and I feel she is doing her character justice my wearing such a gown.

I was really shocked to see Salma Hayek on a worst dressed list in this calming yellow Gucci gown. Salma of course would support her husband and wear a Gucci gown and I think this colour looks incredible with her dark hair and skin tone and what really makes it very special is the dusty pink finishes.

This lady is very rarely not on my best dressed and that is Giuliana Rancic and here is why… she respects the red carpet! Giuliana has been reporting for E! News and the Fashion Police for years and she understands and respects what the red carpet stands for and she is always immaculately turned out and so she is again in this Yousef Aljasmi gown. She finished her look with her blonde hair with a slight wave.

Michelle Williams has become the “Darling” of Hollywood she is just so sweet and when she became the muse of Louis Vuitton I knew she would never have a bad red carpet moment. In saying that Michelle always delighted before joining forces with LV.

Kerry Washington made it onto my best dressed and I’m still looking at the image going but do I love it? I’m not normally a fan of Roberto Cavalli but Kerry just looks so beautiful and I’m not sure if it’s just her beauty that has made me out her on the list or if I actually like the gown either way she made the cut and she is by far one of the most beautiful women in the world.

Ok so this is my number 1 best dressed lady by far. I salute you Taraji P Henson in this Reem Acra gown. I mean come on girl you are killing it!! This has the right amount of demure with a pitch of sexy and a whole lot of elegance. You can truly tell that Taraji feels empowered in this Reem Acra gown and rightly so, there were women half her age on that carpet who weren’t half as beautiful or fierce as she was. She deserves a standing ovation πŸ‘πŸ½

It was all about the couples last night we saw Chrissy Teigan (wearing Dion Lee) and John legend killing it, but not to be out shun we saw Sofia and her handsome husband loving make their way inside.

But it was all about girl power as we saw the girls support each other on the red carpet.

To find out more about my best dressed designer Reem Acra check out my article I posted this morning where I gave you a more in depth look at the designer.

Dior Couture

The highly anticipated Dior Couture show took part the on MusΓ©e Rodin grounds yesterday.

This collection is a far cry from Maria Grazia Chiuri predecessor. With the obvious woodland theme I felt I was looking at the wardrobe of a goddess from a Tim Burton movie and I mean that in a good way. These gowns were everything you would expect from a Queen from a whimsical fairytale movie.

With various headpieces and prints she has elevated the collection to possibly some of the best from the fashion house that we have seen in a while.

Dior Haute Couture ’16

The scene at MusΓ¨e Rodin was one of Parisian elegance.

The fashion set arrived at the show in anticipation of the show that has no official creative director. The show did not disappoint, it was every inch elegant and the Luxury house can be proud of their collection. For me this is a collection that say yes we are here to stay and this is why we are Dior.

This is a collection that can take on the best of them and they had some mind blowing key pieces that I can’t wait to wear. Can we please have a moment for these shoes ….

 I mean … Hello!!

God I love Haute Couture week in Paris πŸ’•

This collection for me is the definition of Parisian elegance. I hope you like it as much as I have.

Oscars 2013

The stars prepare there bodies months in advance for this night … While us mere mortals dive into our Christmas dinner these Hollywood Goddesses are starving themselves in perpetration for the Oscars. Award Season is merely practice for this grand event, anyone who is of importance is in attendance of the oscars. A list only but one D lister made it threw the crack and I would say she will be the last after she turned up in a SAGA style dress. The women in question was Brandi Glanville, “who?” I hear you ask, Brandi is a reality star from Beverly Hills real housewives. Brandi is getting an obscene amount af grief for her choice in dress but only has herself to blame as she designed it for her label Brandi B or as I like to call it bored housewife collection. Saying that for a women in her 40’s she looks incredible and she “wore” that dress the dress didn’t wear her. Congrats on that Brandi but you may have brought the tone of the Oscars down a little… Something tells me it will be the last time a NON A lister will receive an invite.

Now lets get back to the real head turners (for the right reasons) of the night.
Anne Hathaway was every inch the Hollywood Star her hair and makeup was immaculate and the dress (prada) was beautiful maybe a little plain in the front and too much in the back but her hair and makeup was perfection that I completely over looked the dress.

What can I say about Sally Field this lady exudes sophistication. I find sometimes the more mature ladies at the Oscars tend to veer towards dresses more appropriate for the younger starlets. Sally got this look spot on and her hair complements this dress so well.

Jennifer Chastain is on a roll this award season as she arrived in this Georgio Armani gown the only thing for me was she kind of looked like an Oscar herself. She needed a colour that wasn’t similar to her skin tone, but the cut was incredible.

The lady of the hour of course was Jennifer Lawerence. Jennifer will defiantly be remembered this award season first with her hem sliding up at the Golden Globes and just when she thought she had gotten past that as she went to recieve the Oscar for “Best Female” she fell going up the stairs.. Hey Jennifer we’ve all done this at some point maybe not in front of millions of viewers and anyway who cares you won an Oscar. Jennifer looked like a princess in her Dior gown she was exquisite and charming.

And finally my “best dressed” was in fact my worst dressed last year. The reason I chose her as my best dressed because I feel she has come so far in the style stakes and the winner is Stacey Keibler. She looked amazing in this Naeem Khan dress she no longer looked like an L.A try-hard actually in fact she was a walking Oscar last year. There was just the right amount of sparkle to make her dazzle and the colour made her beautiful hazel eyes pop, her toned down tresses worked so well with this up do giving her a more starlet then scarlet look.
